Dont get me wrong i like Facebook, its useful but i would think that if my parents had named me after this famous social networking site i might be a bit ticked. apparently in Egypt following the revolution an egyptian man in his early 20's decided to do exactly what i just said and name his daughter Facebook... why? well the protests in Egypt were mostly organized on Facebook and Twitter so he says he named her to "express his joy at the achievements made by the January 25 youth." and this protest on Facebook was on January 25th ending Hosni Mubarak's 30-year reign as president of Egypt. i dont even know if i fully understand this... its just weird and quite sad. but i guess everyone has their own reasons.

Poetry
my relationship with poetry is definatley a love-hate relationship. I've studied it and usually enjoy it, it depends on the poem, most of the time i dont like the poems we read in school because i find them not very exciting or in depth and i like things that are "in depth" and they dig "deep" because i find people and including myself can relate more to things that people are feeling and understand that someone has been there and feel the same way. i like writing poetry, or atleast i use to. i use to always write poetry ranging from just a rhymnig scheme about an animal or something and would always write a poem for my mom on mothers day describing why shes a great mom, but i have also wrote deeper stuff that maybe certain people can connect to, and these ones dont rhyme. so in general poetry for me is a pretty neutral thing depending on what type of poem we are doing.
i read the poems and i really like the ones with the Greek Mythology references. i have studied Greek mythology on my own time so i find it very interesting that she incorporates that into her poems it also seems to bring a certain essence to it, i think her way of just writing is very descriptive and to be honest quite beautiful, i specifically liked the poem Lullaby because i found it more descriptive and more mysterious, it was quite intriguing.

8 legs, 8 eyes and furry
ugly little things spiders are. i HATE them always have always will. i think i have a phobia of them i think because i can not even step near one, let alone be in the same room with one i just cry or want to faint. When i shower there sometimes is a spider in there i jump out and scream for my mom to come and kill it. They are just so gross and scary! like they have 8 eyes (thats gross) and eight creepy crawly leg (thats creepy) and they are fury (fur is nice but not when it has 8 eyes and 8 legs). its the most disgusting creature on the face of this earth. i cant believe people study them. when i am in stores and halloween decorations are up i get very nervous and scared cause at the sight of one i will run and scream in the other direction (no joke).
i remember once i was at Disney (animal Kingdom) and we went to see the 4D show: Its tough to be a bug, it was a "bugs life" spin off kind of thing. Anyways just by hearing it i knew i shouldnt of gone in it, but i was dumb, i was in grade 5 and i was not the smartest kid to begin with. so we went in, everything was fine there was ants and a dung beetle but then (since its 4D) spiders came down from the ceiling and i started balling my eyes out and ran in front of people and went for the door, but they locked the doors! why would they do that!? and these were fake spiders but like were the size of my dad so of course i freaked out! they just are terrifying and disgusting and i dont want them near me. EVER!
Bottom line is dont anyone ever dare put a spider near me, real or fake, cause i will seriously hurt you (not really i am quite weak) but still you will make me very upset and probably make me cry pr faint so you can deal with that when the even occurs :)

Pet Peeve
I have MANY pet peeves but the one that really grinds my gears is when people sneeze in their hands... and dont clean them. THATS DISGUSTING! then they go around and touch doorhandles and stuff and then people touch it and it just goes around, like your touching someones snot.. its so gross and just plain rude when you think about it. you can get someone sick from it! Just the other day i was in the library minding own business, when i looked over and someone sneezed into their hands... and what did they do? oh you know went back to typing on the computer! THATS SO GROSSSSS!!! i feel sorry for the next person using that computer. ughughg.
I actually used to never care about sneezing in the hands, i THANK GOD never did it (except when i was little, but hey what can ya do) but then i took film studies in grade 10 with Mrs. Thomson and she had pictures posted up everywhere about how far a sneeze can go and what it looks like, i thought i was going to be sick. it goes preeeeetty far. My sister always sneezes in her hands... wait SORRY she says she covers with her hands but sneezes down. Its still getting on your hands there sis. I would get so mad at her for it, cause when she lived with us she always touched doorhandles and remotes and ew. Thank god shes moved out now. i think i should just sanitize the entire house. Just remember to sneeze into your elbow or something rather than your hands or i will find you.

My Puppy :)
My puppy (well technically a dog but still) she is 3 years old, she is a beagle and her name is Lucy. i got her in grade 9 after completing a powerpoint and a brochure about how i wanted a beagle, (it was hard to convince my parents ro get me a dog) but eventually we found a rescued jack russell beagle mix on a website in chantum. so one day we drove to chantum to meet this dog and it was CUTE, very hyper and i wanted it immediatley! but my dad was skeptical he said it reminded him of a toy fox terrier and had one and didnt like it. the thing is i wanted it so bad because its living conditions made my heart tear and i wanted to give it a loving family and a warm home :( but my dad said no. so naturally.. i threw a hissy fit. after much convincing from my sister and I my mom promised to take us to a place where they had A LOT of puppies.
So we drove to stratford and went into this little store that used to sell aquariums? anyways they did have a lot of puppiesm, like basically every breed i was so excited! but there as beagle?! and my heart sank, but my mom asked the lady who owned the store is they had ANY BEAGLES and she said she had some in the back (they had just gotten their shots) and were a bit grogy. there were two males and one female, naturally i wanted a male but i asked to see the female first. and when she brought Lucy out i knew she was mine. my dad who loves dogs but cant handle getting attached to them because in the end it hurts him too much, was the first too hold her, and she just nuzzled her face into my dads coat and started to sleep she was just precious and we decided to buy her.
That night we got to take her home. She was a hyper little thing when we got home and it was like having nascar in the house, but so tiny that she couldnt jump up on the couch or go up the steps but still managed to wreck things -_- but she was worth it. i believed she was a runt from the start because she was just SOO tiny, and her personality is very interesting... also she is very stubborn if she doesnt want to come inside from her walk she'll make sure her message is recieved. she being 3 now still has the same amount of energy and love and stubborness... but i love her with all my heart all i can say is I Love my Lucy ;)

too be young again...
if there was any age i could go back to it would be the age of seven. at seven you have no worries, just laid back running around enjoying the great outdoors, playing with friends and toys plus you look adorable and can get away with anything! Just a jolly great time. if i was young again one thing i would HAVE to do is watch all my favourite Disney shows. when i was young they were always on there was: The little mermaid series, Aladdin, Hercules and House of Mouse. I loved all of these shows and would spend soooo long in front of the TV watching them, man i still wish they were on. i would also play outside with my childhood friend, we would probably build an umbrella fort (consisting of a blanket on grass with open umbrella sheliding us inside; hard to explain), going to our other friends house and surprising him with a waterballoon in the face! also we would build a couch fort (we liked to build forts) that means flipping couches over and crawing through a little gap until we were inside our velvet fortress. if i was a child again one thing i would make clear is that i have a voice too -_- not only my sister, she seemed to do all the talking for me so i would make sure that i speak up so maybe i could be the chatty kathy :) .

Love music and romance, perhaps even a good thrill? Then this movie is just what you need in your life. If you don’t believe what I am saying then let me give you an insight to the epic tale. What do you think of a disfigured musical genius who lives in the sewers of an opera house in Paris terrorizing the cast members and their audience while falling in love and secretly training the musical lead, even though she has another man in her sights? Don’t tell me you’re not a little bit intrigued now.
This musical genius or “Phantom” so they call him has such a passion for music and his love that he will go to extreme measures to make sure that she will be his, this may even include an epic battle between the two men fighting for the love of the operas lead singer, killing anyone who gets in his way or perhaps even making some drastic changes to the famous Opera house.
It is quite a sad tale however, the phantom may be genius but has turned it into madness, all he wanted was to have someone to share his music with and love him but due to his hideous appearance that may never happen.
If you want to find out the events that take place in this mad Opera house then pick up this great movie, sit down, put it in and enjoy the show.
